Application Engineer - Motion Control Specialist

The mission of this role will be to support the Minnesota territory sales team in their efforts to increase market share by providing clients and prospects with expertise in motion control and robotics technology. This individual will interact and communicate with customers to analyze customer requirement and make recommendations for proper solutions. After helping select components and developing proof of concept, this role will provide programming assistance to customers for successful integration of Hartfiel solutions. This will require sizing and developing drawings and diagrams for motion control and robotic systems. To be successful in this role, an individual will need to research and recommend new technology and new products. In addition, this role will need to maintain a high level of expertise in all products while conducting product training for employees and customers. Experience working with servo and stepper motors, vision systems, safety, motion control and industrial control networks is important along with experience debugging and troubleshooting machines. Robotics programming and controls/programming experience is a plus. A four-year degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university and three or more years of related experience is preferred. Business Analyst

The role will support and deploy ERP system functions required for Quote-to-Cash process. In addition, this role will design, deploy and support Business Intelligence dashboards using Microsoft tools. This role requires five or more years of ERP application implementation, upgrade or optimization experience. In addition, at least five years of functional experience in Finance or Operations in an ISO certified organization is required. Experience with application lifecycle management methods and ERP integration / interface design, development and support is required. Microsoft skills include: Word, Excel, Visio, SharePoint and PowerPoint. Experience with Infor SX6.0 is preferred but not required. Key Business Analyst Accountabilities Follow:  Support and deploy ERP system functions required for Quote-to-Cash process that include S&OP and Demand Planning, Customer and Product Master Data, Customer Order and Order Fulfillment, Pricing Administration, Inventory Management, Deliveries, Shipping and Financials.  Design, deploy and support BI Dashboards using Microsoft tools.  Read and write simple programs (minimum) and run existing programs in the programming language Progress. Help support SX upgrades with testing and documentation.  Consult the business on business processes, data processes, information flows, work flows, interfaces and integration to allow business process owners and project teams to make good decisions considering enterprise-wide perspectives.  Establish and align ERP plans that support strategic business plans by leveraging current and emerging technologies to develop business solution options and reengineer processes for continuous improvement.  Coordinate application change management, application security and controls, and the provision of enhancements and new applications necessary for business operation.  Establish and manage formal ERP application lifecycle management activities including monitor, track, and coordinate the identification, prioritization, and resolution of ERP related application support requests.  Setup and manage project lifecycle methodologies for gathering requirements, developing test scenarios and cases, risk management and issue management.  Facilitate effective cross-functional communication efforts (verbal and written) at all levels of the organization.  Enable and lead change.  Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor.  Operates within the intended framework of Hartfiel Automation's mission, values, and vision statements.

Shipping and Receiving Clerk

This role manages and records incoming and outgoing shipments. This includes comparing counts, weights, and/or measures of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against packing slips, invoices, orders, or other records. Prior to storing incoming shipments according to distribution procedures, items are inspected for damage and shortages with discrepancies reported to purchasing. Once stored appropriately, items are pulled for the Value-Added Department and for outgoing orders following instructions on shipper. Utilizing the SX system, inventory cycle counting, operating forklift and hand trucks, labeling, packing, and moving boxes are additional activities assigned to this role. Safety and quality processes and procedures must always be followed. This role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least one to three years shipping/warehouse experience is desired. Must be able to stand or walk most of the day and lift cartons weighing up to 70 pounds on a regular basis.
